Raffaele de Vico (1881-1969) designs architectural works and gardens for Rome since 1926-27 until 1962, during an historic period that crosses the Kingdom of Italy, the Fascism and the Republic. The public green of Rome has received a decisive influence from him. For the continuity of his work, he can be compared to the architect Marcello Piacentini, and his urban vision coincides with the concept of "ambientism" that was formulated by Gustavo Giovannoni.
