Christian Thomasius

Christian Thomasius was a German lawyer and philosopher; as a forerunner of the Enlightenment he explains the distinction between law and moral theology.
From Thomasius’ point of view a good Christian is a good citizen who does his duties altruistically renouncing personal interests and delights.
