The sacralization of politics happens every time a political entity - nation, democracy, state, race, class, party, movement - has become a sacred entity, an object of devotion and worship, and is located at the center of a system of beliefs, symbols and rituals.
So religions of politics are born, and they do not identify themselves with only ne type of ideology and regime: they may sanctify democracy or autocracy, equality or inequality, a nation or the humanity.
