From molecular biology to cognitive science, it gained importance in the recent decades a new field of research: the human techno-sciences, in which the technique is entrusted with the task of reproducing and artificially manipulating specific human faculties, such as language, intelligence or practice.
The exploration of this new area of research is the underlying theme of the book, which deals at the same time theories and practical knowledges, reconstructing alternatives and conflicts regarding the future form of human life.
