Gay e lesbiche in psicoterapia

The authors speak to all psychologists, psychiatrists and psychotherapists, of any address and school, with strict proposals, in method and content, about the condition of gay and lesbian people. All the different psychotherapeutic models are taken into consideration, from psychoanalysis to cognitive psychology to the systemic-relational therapy, to define appropriate interpretive techniques that encourage experimentation with new solutions. They also face specific and concrete problems: how to decode the question of ''cure' homosexuality, how to deal with the difficulties of behaviors and the ethical dilemmas.

Paolo Rigliano, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, runs a local psychiatric facility of the San Carlo Hospital in Milan. In the Cortina's series of Clinical Psychology has already published ''Doppia diagnosi''(2004).

Margherita Graglia, a psychologist and psychotherapist, joins her clinical activity with that of a trainer and consultant at universities and public bodies on issues of sexual orientation and gender identity.
