The ecclesiastical law is characterized by a variety of sources related to different legal systems that are integrated each other into the unity of experience, to the existence of similar problems in different jurisdictions, to the need of studying the relationship between Church and State according to a plurality of systems and models.
On this basis, it has gradually established in ecclesiastical law a method of comparative study that presents a more general cultural and educational interest.
