Eguaglianza
History is, in this book, the key to proposing a new, unexpected, idea of equality, capable of giving meaning to our time. A journey through the centuries - from classical Greece to imperial Rome, to the first modernity of the West, to the great season of capital and work, up to the problems of the present - in search of an alternative path, sketched out, forgotten and never really traveled, to think about equality. The end of large-scale industry and labor in the most economically advanced part of the world has destroyed the cultural, social and economic foundations of modern equality paradigms, and has left a disorienting and endangering void. How to get out of it? We need a radical change in the way of conceiving ourselves and our place in the world, far from the myths of the "social" and the "collective", but which offers a form to the revolution we are experiencing.
