Non desiderare la donna e la roba d'altri

Life goes on the tight rope of desire that influences human action between great flights or vertiginous falls. From the  law of Moses to the Christian message, from classical to modern thought, Western culture has experienced this dual nature of desire: both an impetuous vortex of life energy and an insatiable abyss that swallows everything. The biblical commandment imposes order and measure to this natural human tendency. What can it mean not to desire in the era of phantasmagoria of goods and of consumer society? The  most outdated commandment, which is the last and the most unheard Word.
