We often consider disturbing the animals living in extreme environments, because we can not compare them with the only tool of comparison we know: ourselves. Sometimes we are shocked by the aspect, sometimes by habits, others by diet; but remains the idea that the more something is different from our standard, the more we remain impressed, almost never in a positive sense. And so we remain open-mouthed, bewildered that something so abnormal share the same planet with us, without suspecting it. It's almost just as to find that the elves are living in the sitting room... But you do not need so much imagination: these "impossible" creatures - that seem designed not from the famous blind watchmaker by Richard Dawkins but by a short-sighted and a little distracted one - really exist.
