L'Esperienza della verità
What do we mean when we say that something is "true"? A hermeneutic approach to the problem of truth can only start from this question: that is not the question about "what is" the truth, but about its meaning in our experience. The general thesis of philosophical hermeneutics on the problem of truth can be summarized in fact, according to the author, in the defense of its full semantic content: using the word "real" we mean not a condition of the real "in itself", but a condition of our experience of reality. Therefore it is not the sign of a timeless reality, the brand of the abyss between an eternal reality and our experience, but on the contrary is exactly what makes the reality "in itself" a reality "for us": what connects us to the reality, not making another world, but precisely our world.
