Accurate and documented analysis of the current economic-financial situation and of the concrete possibilities of realizing the ecological transition. The author skilfully analyzes the various problems that block development in an ecological sense: priorities and investments in fossil energies, economistic reductionism, idolatry of GDP, financialisation detached from the real economy. At the same time Giraud indicates the choices to be made to build a more fair and environmentally friendly society: common goods, taxation of polluting sources, capitalism understood in a social background.
